Job Description Mission:
Plans and directs development/production engineering programs and projects concerning unique problems that have an important effect on extensive engineering, business, and product activities. The role has full technical and financial responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments, while making recommendations and decisions that impact engineering programs and the company’s business. These responsibilities are achieved in part by interacting with Operational Managers within the plant.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for an important segment of part engineering and support activity programs for the plant. The programs contain critical problems requiring technological advances and innovative solutions.
Plans, recommends, and negotiates for facilities, personnel, support organizations, and funds needed to carry out programs directed toward fulfillment of plant business objectives.
Prepares, reviews, monitors, and controls budgets. Allocates program budgets among organizations to address program requirements most effectively.
Works closely with manufacturing to provide engineering support for the transition of products from development to production.
Directs and/or has responsibility for hiring, training, performance evaluation, salary changes, promotions, disciplinary action, and transfers of personnel for the organization within established guidelines and company policy.
Holds direct reports accountable for safety performance, supports company safety and health policies, and incorporates safety requirements into the budgeting process.
Works closely with the plant’s customers to aid in product design, communicate problems, and provide a technical arm to support sales in achieving customer goals.
Qualifications
Must have aerospace experience or experience within investment casting, and be able to direct/supervise engineers to achieve profit, quality, and delivery goals.
Candidate should hold a B.S. degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
Candidate should have a proven track record of delivering new ideas, managing projects with financial responsibility, and providing leadership in directing engineers and others to complete projects on time.

For informational purposes only, the pay range for this role is $150,000 to $190,000 USD. The role is salaried, may include a quarterly cash bonus plan (paid at 3X the company’s bonus multiple), 120 hours of paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, and eligibility for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
