Data Governance Senior Consultant
Location: San Diego, California, United States
NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Data Governance Senior Consultant to join our team in San Diego, CA. The role involves working with clients to design, develop, and implement data governance frameworks and tools.
Role Responsibilities
Documents core data governance framework deliverables – operating model, organization roles & responsibilities, policies, standards, use cases, and performance metrics
Documents client organization's direction, structure, business processes and requirements as they relate to creation and maintenance of data.
Analyzes business objectives to understand governance needs and determines how data governance can best fulfill those needs.
Identifies cross‑impact to other systems/initiatives/capabilities.
Proposes solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs.
Understands data governance framework and can clearly articulate roles, goals, and timelines.
Works closely with client stakeholders to understand data challenges, objectives, and provides guidance and training on the data governance framework.
Creates, consolidates, and presents documents relating to use cases, policies, processes, standards, and guidelines, maintaining them throughout the project, including traceability back to requirements.
Provides a business or process perspective during design reviews.
Participates in change control process throughout the project.
Proactively carries out project support/administrative functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to travel according to client demands.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience defining and implementing Data Governance Programs
3+ years of experience working with Data Governance Tools and Platforms (Informatica CDGC, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, etc)
5+ years of experience managing small projects including status reporting, risk & issue management, resource and budget management
3+ years of experience working with MDM tools
2+ years engagement management experience
Must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Preferences
Consulting experience highly preferred
Industry-specific consulting experience (Discrete Manufacturing or Supply Chain)
Experience working with all levels of client resources preferred
Experience in systems implementation, business analysis, and/or project management
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $105,160 to $131,450. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&DD insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
