About the Role The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is responsible for processing high‑volume invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining compliance across multiple entities. You’ll handle everything from verifying and recording invoices to executing weekly check runs and resolving payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and thrives in a fast‑paced, metrics‑focused environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accounting statements and financial reports
Process accounts‑payable transactions
Verify invoices and requisitions
Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
Manage the weekly check run
Record all checks
Process expense reports
Pay vendors
Resolve purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payment discrepancies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
3+ years of accounts payable experience
Experience with intercompany accounting for multiple entities
Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings
Expertise Needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word and intermediate skills in Excel
Proficiency with Quickbooks Online; Experience with Coupa or similar apps is a bonus
Manual processing experience/high‑volume
Large ERP experience preferred
Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure and be comfortable in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment
