CT Technologist
Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic images for interpretation by the radiologist. The employee should have knowledge of equipment utilization and be able to make adjustments in technique and patient positioning to provide high-quality images.

5:30pm - 6am

Responsibilities
Accurate image identification.
Ensure accuracy and high-quality images.
Complete annual continuing education on CT safety.
Obtain proper consent for procedures.
Perform CT exams by setting, adjusting, manipulating, and controlling complex electronic equipment.
Perform intravenous injections of contrast media under Radiologist guidance.
Document radiation dose and contrast use in patient charts.
Stay current on Creatinine & GFR levels to determine contrast use, understanding criteria, protocols for abnormal levels, and consulting with physicians or nurses as needed.
Utilize PACS and HIS systems for patient data archiving and recording.
Follow radiation safety techniques to ensure patient safety and image quality with minimal dose.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) certification (Required)
ARRT - Radiography (R) certification (Required)
BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire
IEMA certification (Required)
Compensation Estimated Range: $30.56 - $47.37 per hour, based on experience.
