Principal I, Cloud Developer

Overview THE ROLE: The Principal Cloud Developer will craft, build, and maintain high-performing and highly scalable applications on Oracle cloud platforms. This position requires candidates with multi-year hands-on experience in cloud-native application development, microservices, containerization, serverless architecture, and deployments using CI/CD. The role will lead major architecture design and development activities, coordinating with other multi-functional and technical teams to ensure outstanding delivery. HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable applications, primarily in Oracle cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with architects to build scalable and resilient cloud architectures. Focus on design leadership and voice support for new strategies for ALM, Architecture, and Processing. Take accountability for the quality of technology developed by the group. Demonstrate high technical expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot/Quarkus, Microservices, and related Cloud technologies. Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions. Lead all aspects of the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Analyze and solve complex technical problems, implement effective solutions, and identify bugs and performance issues. Review and set coding standards, ensuring code reviews are part of the development cycle. Work independently and as part of a team to translate requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed applications. Create user documentation including architectures, design patterns, troubleshooting guides, and methodologies. QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of experience in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. Proven proficiency in building cloud-native applications using Java and JavaScript technologies such as Spring Boot/Quarkus, React, Angular, NodeJS. Experience deploying applications on Oracle cloud infrastructure. Experience with micro-frontend and micro-services architectures. Experience managing containers with Kubernetes (OKE and/or GKE). Experience building event-driven applications using Kafka. Experience with API Gateways or Service Mesh; hands-on with APIGEE and/or Oracle application gateway is a plus. Experience with cloud databases (SQL and NoSQL), Oracle RDBMS, and PLSQL knowledge is highly desirable. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub. Knowledge of Oracle Apex is a plus. Ability to prioritize and lead work in a fast-paced environment with critical timelines. CERTIFICATIONS / TRAINING: Required: Certifications demonstrating industry recognition for your area of expertise. EXPERIENCE: 10+ years in application and service development with deep technical expertise; 7+ years in designing and developing complex applications. EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Preferred: Advanced degree in computer science or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting high-traffic web applications, including log aggregation, remote debugging, proactive monitoring, and alerting. Experience with Continuous Delivery practices, source control, versioning, branching, automation, and release management. Experience with monitoring tools.
