Overview
The Private Equity Associate will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments across the digital infrastructure ecosystem, including data centers, fiber networks, wireless towers, small cells, edge infrastructure, and cloud‑connectivity platforms. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of how these assets operate, generate revenue, and scale, as well as familiarity with the market dynamics driving global demand for bandwidth and compute capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop advanced financial models tailored to digital infrastructure assets, including capacity‑based revenue forecasting, utilization analysis, and capital intensity modeling.
Conduct in‑depth sector research on fiber, data centers, towers, wireless infrastructure, and emerging digital‑edge technologies.
Support full deal execution processes, technical due diligence, operational assessments, regulatory review, and investment committee presentations, focusing on asset quality, scalability, and unit economics in digital infra.
Partner with portfolio company management teams to drive value‑creation initiatives related to network expansion, pricing strategy, power usage, site acquisition, and operational efficiency.
Track sector trends such as AI‑driven data center demand, 5G densification, subsea cable development, and cloud migration to support thesis development.
Coordinate with bankers, consultants, engineers, and technical advisors who specialize in digital infrastructure.
Qualifications
2‑4 years of investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or consulting experience with exposure to digital infrastructure or telecom.
Strong financial modeling skills with demonstrated experience working on digital infra or hard‑asset transactions.
Understanding of network economics, colocation models, fiber route valuation, or infrastructure leasing structures is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project‑management abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related field.
