Department The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Emergency Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Emergency Radiology who are passionate about collaborative, patient‑centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. He/she/they will contribute to the Department’s ambition while upholding the organization’s mission and values. Responsibilities include patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students.
Department/Division Overview The Division of Emergency Radiology focuses on all aspects of diagnostic imaging in the Emergency Department setting, particularly interpretation and consultation on emergent studies in radiography, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI. Faculty are supported by clinical, research, and educational resources in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.
Main campus: New construction of a state‑of‑the‑art 830‑bed hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine
City clinics: Two newly designed ambulatory care centers in New Albany and Dublin now completed; plus 16 established centers across the city

Duties and Responsibilities
Faculty schedule: 10‑hour shifts covering evening/night hours, with a 1‑week‑on/2‑weeks‑off clinical schedule
Availability on site in the Emergency Department as needed; some shifts may be remote
Contributes to day‑to‑day clinical operations of the Emergency Radiology Division
Provides high‑quality patient care as related to the Emergency Service
Contributes to clinical and imaging operations for the Emergency Service
Education, Training, and Faculty Development
Conducts clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings within OSUWMC and at regional/national level
Collaborates with faculty & leadership to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities
Serves as mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty
Research and Scholarship
Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
May serve as PI or Co‑I in grants and/or clinical trials
Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees in research/innovation representation
Job Requirements
M.D., D.O., or Ph.D. in imaging and/or imaging‑related fields
Board certification in Radiology (ABR, AOBR)
Subspecialty fellowship in a relevant Diagnostic Radiology discipline, or equivalent experience
Proof of licensure in the State of Ohio or eligibility to obtain it

Tenure‑track faculty (assistant professor, associate professor, professor) are eligible for tenure and focus on research, service, and teaching, with the possibility of clinical care. Research faculty (research assistant professor, research associate professor, research professor) are appointed for 1‑5 years and focus on research.
