Administrative endorsement - Preferred

At least five years teaching experience

Experience in teaching directly related to goals of the program - Preferred

Supervises students and staff

Hires staff along with Director and Human Resources Department

Distributes and inventories materials

Organizes student arrival and dismissal

Communicates with staff and families regarding program and enrollments

Provide office support during summer school

Maintains up to date COVID procedures per the district guidelines

Communicates with building principal regarding room availability

Assigns students to classrooms and teachers

Monitors attendance for students and staff

Oversees food distribution as needed

Secures substitutes as needed

Supervises daily schedule

Oversees the end of Summer School including but not limited to collecting materials, submitting time sheets, and coordinating with building administration

Maintains all required documentation

ESY (Extended School Year)- This extended year program is for recommended students leaving grades Kindergarten through seventh grade. Teachers are required to have an LBS1 endorsement and will provide instructional services in a classroom setting. Other additional support staff will include Social Workers, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other special services as needed.

•4 weeks

•8am-11:15am Monday - Thursday

•Teacheronsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times

•Paraprofessional onsite hours will be 30 minutes prior to student arrival and 30 minutes after student dismissal times

JOB OVERVIEW The Summer School Coordinator provides leadership and direction by supporting and promoting a safe learning environment for students and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

A current Professional Educator License (PEL)

Administrative endorsement - Preferred
