Salary: $130 - 148k/year
Job Summary The expert contract manager will oversee multiple high-value, strategic third-party contracts within the organization’s Propel SAP S/4HANA modernization program. This role ensures compliance, manages vendor relationships, and drives contract performance improvement across large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Acting as a key advisor to leadership, this position balances risk, negotiation, compliance, and business alignment in support of critical enterprise modernization goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead supplier relationship management for critical system integration partners
Manage complex contracts and amendments, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance
Develop advanced
scorecards
to assess contract performance
Independently facilitate vendor performance reviews and negotiations
Create and implement innovative strategies for contract and compliance challenges
Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives
Train internal stakeholders on contract policy and compliance standards
Provide
QA/QC oversight
for contract performance monitoring
Develop and execute audit plans for contract compliance
Track obligations and renewals across the Propel ERP transformation program
Identify, analyze, and resolve compliance risks or discrepancies
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to agreements
Prepare and present reports on contract performance outcomes
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of contract management in
large-scale digital transformations
(e.g., SAP/ERP system integrators, professional services)
Strong record of managing
sophisticated contracts
and preventing value leakage
Nice-to-Have Experience
Master’s degree in business, law, or related field
Certifications: PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Utility industry or
pipeline construction experience
QA/QC experience with contract documentation
Process improvement and continuous improvement expertise
Required Skills
Expert-level contract management and vendor negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of compliance, regulations, and risk mitigation
Ability to resolve conflicts constructively and achieve win-win outcomes
Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
Experience with SRM, Ariba, SAP, or other contract management software
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting the
energy and utilities sector
Forward-thinking and results-driven approach to contract governance
