Irrigation Technician 3 About us Ballenger Landcare is a commercial specialist that provides responsible water management consulting, design and maintenance services for master planned community developers, commercial landscape architects and property management firms.
Duties
Manage irrigation crew and organize project readiness and completion
Install and repair irrigation systems for commercial properties
Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads and replacing damaged components
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems, such as leaks or low water pressure
Ensure proper water distribution and coverage for lawns, gardens, and landscapes
Dig trenches and install pipes, valves, and other irrigation system components
Operate power tools and hand tools to complete installation and repair tasks
Collaborate with landscaping teams to coordinate irrigation system installation with overall landscape design
Provide recommendations for improving irrigation system efficiency and water conservation
Requirements
Previous experience as a foreman in Irrigation or similar role REQUIRED
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively
Knowledge of garden and landscape maintenance practices
Familiarity with irrigation system components, such as pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and controllers
Ability to dig trenches and perform physically demanding tasks as neededUnderstanding of lawn care principles and water management practices
Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve irrigation system issues
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in installation and repair work
Valid driver's license
