Linux Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to support the upgrade and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, with a focus on security remediation, automation, and cloud integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Red Hat 6 through 9, Ansible automation, and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, along with familiarity in hybrid cloud environments including Azure and vCenter. Key Responsibilities Lead the upgrade of Linux systems from Red Hat 6 to Red Hat 9.2. Perform OS upgrades and security vulnerability remediation across Linux environments. Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for OS upgrades, server builds, and automation tasks. Utilize Jenkins for orchestration and CI/CD pipeline integration. Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support application migration and testing. Conduct basic validation and testing to ensure system requirements are met post-upgrade. Work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Assist in integrating Linux systems with Azure and vCenter environments. Required Qualifications

Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (versions 6, 7, and 9). Proficiency in Ansible for automation and Jenkins for orchestration. Experience with OS upgrades and security patching. Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite for configuration management. Ability to perform basic application testing and validation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Red Hat 8. Knowledge of Azure cloud services and Azure-native tools. Familiarity with vCenter and hybrid cloud environments.
