Summary:

The RL Packaging Team is focused on delivering consumer product packaging for all RL products (Mixed Reality, AI Glasses, Accessories and new devices). We focus on packaging that is sustainable, design‑focused, and enhances the customer experience. The RL Packaging team seeks a Technical Program Manager who has strong experience as a TPM in packaging development. As the packaging TPM, you will be responsible for collecting cross‑functional inputs to support the team in designing, validating, and delivering product packaging at scale. This role will focus on package sustaining activities in support of international expansion initiatives. The products we work on help connect the world closer together and we contribute with each box we design.
Required Skills: Technical Program Manager, Packaging Responsibilities:
Technical Program Manager for RL packaging products including Quest, Ray‑Ban Meta, Wearables, Accessories and new devices
End-to-end coordination of packaging engineering, design, and validation from product discovery through launch
Lead collaboration with industrial design, engineering, creative, legal, product management, compliance and operations to realize packaging vision and content on the packaging/in‑box
Guide the team through ambiguous packaging definition, sourcing cross‑functional inputs and influencing to find an optimized solution
Drive the execution of the schedule and manage day to day activities of the program
Present program updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks and recommended mitigations
Implement process improvements and best practices for the organization
Collaborate closely with APAC suppliers for packaging builds
10% international and domestic travel
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of hands‑on program management experience
Demonstrated proficiency in consumer electronics design cycles
Experience working with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and creative agencies
BS in engineering or equivalent industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in mechanical, packaging, or structural engineering
Public Compensation: $102,000/year to $157,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
