The Chief Operating Officer will oversee all administrative and operational functions across our Urgency Room acute care clinics and corporate operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will translate organizational strategy into actionable plans, drive operational excellence, and ensure sustainable growth while fostering a patient-focused, high-performing culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations across multiple departments, including Human Resources, Finance, IT, Marketing, Scheduling, and Urgency Room operations.
Drive organizational performance, monitor KPIs, and ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance across all areas.
Partner with executive and physician leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance patient care, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Oversee budgets, P&L performance, vendor contracts, and data analytics to support informed decision-making.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Explore and implement innovative solutions to expand urgent care services locally and nationally.
Qualifications
8 -10 years in healthcare administration and operations within a mid-sized to large physician owned and led single specialty private practice. Requires extensive and progressive leadership experience including significant time in a senior executive position (i.e. CEO, COO, or CFO).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and execute organizational strategy.
Ability to work broadly across the organization, doing so in a meaningful, resourceful, and efficient manner.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, P&L, and reimbursement models, including value-based care.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills across diverse stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MHA, or related advanced degree preferred.
