We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a 260‑day locum tenens assignment in Indiana, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role features day shifts, Monday through Friday, and requires comfort with a brisk patient volume and a diverse caseload across all ages, with a focus on adults. Experience with Smart Care EMR is required.

Provider Type Needed: Psychiatrist

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00AM‑5:00PM

Responsibilities and Duties

Manage a daily caseload of 10 to 14 patients, serving all age groups (approximately 70% adults, 30% younger patients)

Conduct diagnostic evaluations and handle new patient referrals

Review patient histories and symptoms; perform Mental Status Exams

Oversee medication management and develop individualized treatment plans

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and care plans

Assess and respond to crisis situations, including suicide risk assessments

Navigate multiple scenarios in a fast‑paced clinical environment

Utilize Smart Care EMR and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft programs

Additional Information

Indiana medical license and board certification in Psychiatry required

Must be comfortable in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting

Prior experience working with both adult and younger patient populations is preferred

Team includes Psych NPs and Psychiatrists
