What to Expect Tesla's residential & commercial energy efforts drive the global shift toward sustainable power. This team delivers an efficient & cohesive user experience (both customer and installer) across our flagship products - Megapack, Solar Roof, Solar Panels, and Powerwall. In this role, you'll build a suite of backend infrastructure and tooling to streamline the ordering & payment process, facilitate permitting procedures, reduce onsite deployment time, and advance performance tracking abilities. These features directly accelerate system design and enhance product engagement, increasing the global adoption of renewable energy generation/storage solutions.

What You'll Do

Build scalable applications to support the entire residential & commercial energy experience, including journey from system design, ordering, purchasing, installation and ownership/maintenence

Troubleshoot & resolve application issues underpinning the core energy services ecosystem and related dependencies

Design and build scalable & efficient APIs, microservices and event-driven systems

Work with different database engines (both relational and document/NoSQL-based) to manage & optimize design model schema, ensuring data integrity and performance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define & implement new modules such as solar access, automation, and production models

Utilize conversational, AI-powered assistants & LLMs to streamline automation and boost productivity

What You'll Bring

Proficiency in either C# or Golang

Experience with relational (MySQL or similar) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar), including schema design & optimization

Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar

Familiarity with Python and modules used on AI flows

Familiarity with Redis a nice to have

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation $164,480 - $292,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
