Responsibilities As a Backend Software Engineer, your responsibilities include:
Building new and exciting components/frameworks in distributed filesystems.
Developing high‑quality, production‑ready code for a cloud platform used by millions.
Building efficient components/algorithms in a microservice, multi‑tenant SaaS cloud distributed filesystem environment.
Performing code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of software development experience with mastery of programming languages and platforms.
Strong object‑oriented programming, Java & Python, and SQL skills with relational (PostgreSQL) and non‑relational databases.
Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
Proficiency with queues, locks, scheduling, event‑driven architecture, and workload distribution.
Deep understanding of software development best practices and demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with big‑data/ML and S3, streaming technologies like Kafka.
Experience with Elasticsearch.
Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
Experience working in a high‑paced, rapidly growing multinational organization.
