We are seeking a
Transportation Project Director
to join our team in
Atlanta, GA
to lead and work on various projects for the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Responsibilities
In coordination with the Sector Manager, Division Managers, Regional Business Development and Sales Director, and local team, manage and grow AtkinsRéalis business with GDOT. Support business development and the entire project portfolio.
Serve as a dedicated business builder, utilizing existing relationships to identify and pursue opportunities and recruit top technical staff.
Leverage a background in winning and serving clients on major projects; strong technical, communication, organizational skills; thorough knowledge of GDOT.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, public and private, and with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
Work with leadership to promote design excellence, provide leadership and mentoring while driving the strategic plan for the account.
Participate in strategic planning for the business unit to maximize profitability, marketing capabilities, operational efficiencies, and quality.
Qualifications
B.S. and/or M.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Transportation.
15-20 years of relevant experience in highway, roadway, traffic and/or bridge engineering.
P.E. license.
Experience leading transportation design projects for the Department of Transportation (preferably Georgia) and local Georgia municipal clients such as Cobb and Gwinnett County.
Relationships with GDOT and local municipalities; operations experience (led a P&L, division, etc); contract and project management experience; led teams of PMs and engineers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and persuasive abilities.
Technical design, writing, computer, and communication skills.
Experience managing people, project scope, budget, and schedule (desirable).
