Your Impact
Electrical Engineering Director directs overall electrical engineering operations and strategy within an organization. Develops policies and procedures for electrical design. Reviews and approves new or revised designs and drawing standards. Ensures engineering projects are appropriately staffed and project objectives are achieved. Provides professional development opportunities to engineers. Possesses extensive engineering experience and knowledge. Reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Here’s What You’ll Need
Minimum of 10-12 years of work experience with an AEC or engineering consulting firm. 10 years of engineering or related engineering experience. B.S. Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related construction industry. Professional Engineering license. Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (strong Revit experience preferred). Physical ability and willingness to conduct site inspections and observe fieldwork. Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines. Here’s How You’ll Stand Out
Strong oral, written, and communication skills. Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Project experience in K-12 educational market. Proficient with MEP calculations, and Title-24 documentation using Energy Pro software. Ability to interact with management, staff, external clients, organizations, and vendors.
