Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Installation)
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
Position responsibilities:
Implements design and build plan changes, minimizing disruption while capturing maximum benefits through highly collaborative behavior and processes championed by Manufacturing Engineering and inclusive of all the stakeholders in the change.
Responsible for integrating changes to the affected commodities and executing the Build Integration milestones.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Support the execution of the Build Integration process by providing visibility of active engineering design changes and associated risks to milestones and ensuring design changes advance through the review process.
Lead collaboration and integration across the affected commodities.
Develop and implement manufacturing plans.
Create installation planning and supporting installation planning shipside in San Antonio.
Support team performance by participating in process/tool improvement projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
This position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (ABET accredited)
5 + years knowledge and experience of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data).
Ability to read and interpret old 2D drawings
Familiarity with aerospace parts/products
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft & CATIA
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with GoldEsp
Experience with out of production aircraft sustainment.
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role

Min Pay Rate $61.52
