Location: Bradley International Airport (BDL)
Schedule: 24/7 operations; schedules based on seniority and availability
Required: Must possess mechanical tools and toolbox
Pay: $29 per hour
Role Purpose This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles, then make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures that aircraft services can operate effectively by providing preventive care and timely repairs, ensuring all work is performed safely following established procedures.
Responsibilities
Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records.
Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
Provide preventive care and timely repairs to equipment, ensuring aircraft services operate effectively.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment, complying with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean working environment.

Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Ability to obtain and maintain required Airports and Customs badges/seals.
