Maintenance Millwright
Location Deer Park, Texas
Job Type Full-Time, On-site
What You'll Do As a Maintenance Millwright, you will support rotating equipment repairs and provide first-line support to the Production Department. You will operate, maintain, and rebuild large gearboxes, agitators, pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, conveyors, and dryers across different production units.
What We're Looking For
Repair and perform upgrades on all ANSI pumps, Vikings, and blowers up to 36” and below.
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and total indicator reading (TIR) indicators.
Use basic hand tools, cut gaskets, and install shims.
Use SAP software.
Read basic drawings and blueprints.
Engage and desire to learn more.
Repair and upgrade all API pumps.
Rebuild Seal Pac’s and repair Lightning agitators.
Check bearing fits and measure runouts.
Use all shop tools and identify the correct tool for the task.
Use a carry deck crane or equivalent.
Take maintenance callouts.
Comply with all Lubrizol Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
Foster a safety‑first culture by actively observing safety and correcting unsafe behaviors.
Foster a culture of teamwork.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills That Make a Difference
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Millwright within an industrial or chemical manufacturing plant.
Willingness to comply with all safety rules and Lubrizol policies.
Work in required PPE, including fit‑tested equipment such as supplied‑air masks or respirators as needed.
Work overtime, including callouts, weekends, holidays, and all weather conditions. Normal shift: 4/10 Monday through Thursday.
Read, understand, and use IOMs or blueprints to tear down/rebuild equipment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through.
Handle multiple tasks to achieve overall goals.
Perform repairs, inspections, make adjustments, and document results.
Perform PMs on pumps, gearboxes, agitators, compressors, blowers, centrifuges, and conveyors.
Complete paperwork timely, including timesheets, shop papers, and alignment records. Enter completion codes in SAP, buy parts, and Complete computer‑based training.
Perform maintenance duties in the field and pump shop.
Operate a variety of tools to complete the job.
Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and repair sequence.
Operate mobile equipment such as carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG boom lifts.
Walk on elevated catwalks over 15 ft and work confined spaces.
