Revenue Contract Specialist

As a Revenue Contract Specialist you will be a key member of the Finance team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our revenue operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing customer contracts, maintaining accurate revenue records, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with a strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems—particularly NetSuite and Salesforce—and a passion for process improvement and automation. You’ll collaborate closely with our Contracts and Sales Operations teams to ensure a smooth, compliant, and efficient revenue process.
Responsibilities
Contract Review & Management:
Review and interpret customer contracts, order forms, and amendments within Salesforce to identify key revenue terms, performance obligations, and billing schedules in alignment with ASC 606.
Revenue Recognition & Setup:
Support the accurate setup and maintenance of revenue contracts in Salesforce and NetSuite, ensuring timely and correct revenue recognition.
ERP & System Maintenance:
Utilize NetSuite and other financial systems to manage contract data, revenue schedules, and reporting accuracy.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership:
Partner closely with the Contracts and Sales Operations teams to clarify contract terms, resolve discrepancies, and ensure consistent communication across departments.
Audit & Compliance Support:
Maintain strong internal controls, provide audit‑ready documentation, and assist with both internal and external audit requests related to revenue.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline revenue processes, enhance data integrity, and improve reporting efficiency.
AR Process Support:
Assist the Accounts Receivable team with collection activities, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain accurate customer account records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2–3 years of experience in revenue operations, accounting, or contract management; SaaS or technology industry experience strongly preferred.
Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), CRM platforms (Salesforce required), and Excel.
Understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple contracts and priorities effectively.
Excellent time management and communication skills with a collaborative, problem‑solving mindset.
Strong interest in process improvement and automation to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Estimated Salary Range $70,000 – $82,000 (Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role.)
