Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and refine test methodologies for motor gearboxes, including mechanical, thermal, and endurance testing.
Lead reliability engineering efforts to assess and improve the durability and lifespan of motor gearbox components for sustaining production and new developments.
Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to translate product requirements into robust test plans.
Analyze test data, identify failure modes, and recommend corrective actions to improve gearbox and motor performance and reliability.
Manage and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation relevant to gearbox testing.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the test and reliability teams.
Document test procedures, results, and reliability analysis in compliance with company and industry standards.
Engage with suppliers and external labs as necessary to coordinate specialized testing activities.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to motor gearboxes and reliability testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in test methods development and reliability engineering, preferably with motor gearboxes or similar electromechanical systems.
Strong understanding of gearbox design, materials, and failure mechanisms.
Proficient with test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Experience with reliability analysis techniques such as FMEA, Weibull analysis, and accelerated life testing.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to analyze complex data sets.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to driving projects to completion.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations is a plus.
Experience in electric vehicle or aerospace industries is highly desirable.
