Job Description
In this Pick/Pack position you are responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes picking, packing, and general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Picking:
Accurately picking orders according to pick lists or order tickets. Ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts - if certified) safely and efficiently.
Packing:
Packing orders securely and appropriately for shipment, considering fragility and shipping requirements. Preparing shipping labels and ensuring accurate address information. Creating necessary packing slips and other shipping documentation.
General Warehouse Duties:
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures. Reporting any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions. Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed. Communicating effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not always required. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs) repeatedly. Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck) is beneficial. Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Frequent lifting and/or moving of objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels within the warehouse environment. Work Environment:
Warehouse environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations. May involve working around moving machinery. Safety shoes and other personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
