Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond Department: Grading Reports to: Project Superintendent / Project Foreman Major Role and Purpose Operates heavy industrial equipment such as dozer's, excavators, backhoes or other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials, such as dirt and gravel. Description of Duties Monitors the activity within the site. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Spread dirt in fill area. Clear and grub area being worked. Perform fine and rough grade operations. Run a fill area. Read slope stakes. Cut slope to the job’s specifications (type of slope, ditch cut depths, and fill section heights). Direct trucks and equipment where to off-load, stock, or spread material loads. Dress and clean up job at the completion. Water, oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment. Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner. Willingness to work nights and weekends. Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned. Education High School Diploma Preferred Preferred Experience 3-5 Years Operating Various Heavy Equipment. Valid Driver’s License.
