We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. As a Network security expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced segmentation, breach detection and Database activity monitoring solutions to ensure the protection of our organization's critical assets and sensitive data. Your main role will involve deploying Guardicore's Centra platform as micro-segmentation solution, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents. The position will report directly to the responsible Product manager for Network Security. Responsibilities Deploy and configure the Guardicore Centra platform to establish micro-segmentation for network isolation and security. Design and implement segmentation policies to prevent lateral movement and unauthorized access within the network. Perform day-to-day administration of the solution. Create / update global policy and rule sets. Install the agent on the servers. Configure micro-segmentation breach detection mechanisms to identify and respond to suspicious activities and security threats. Configure Database activity monitoring policies and respond to suspicious activities. Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and mitigate security incidents detected by Guardicore and Imperva DAM. Monitor network traffic patterns using Guardicore's visibility tools to detect unusual behaviors and potential security breaches. Utilize traffic analysis to refine segmentation policies and enhance threat detection capabilities. Continuously review and refine segmentation policies based on changing network environments and security requirements. Implement security best practices and recommend improvements to enhance micro-segmentation effectiveness. Enhance effectiveness of Database activity monitoring policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work as on call: it will be required to participate in the team’s on call shift one week per month. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). Professional certifications such as Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, AKAMAI, GCCE, Imperva DAM are highly preferred. 4-5 years of proven experience as a Security Engineer with expertise in Firewall and micro-segmentation technologies. Strong understanding of network protocols, traffic analysis, firewall principles and security vulnerabilities. Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, standards, and frameworks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security incidents. Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
