A welder will be responsible for welding together parts of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum as specified in blueprints, layouts, welding procedures and operating charts. Must be able to weld flat, cylindrical or irregular parts that may be clamped, tack-welded or otherwise positioned. Must be integrally familiar with welding machines in order to properly adjust same. Employee will be required to pass IMOCO’s performance tests. At times, employee will be required to assist other facets of our business. Qualifications
Basic knowledge of reading blueprints An understanding of welding procedures commonly used in pipe and plate welding Leadership ability Recognize and address safety aspects of projects Communicate effectively with customers Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Welding and cutting Layout, fit and tack pieces together Sets up and operates welding equipment Material requisition Equipment requisition Examine welds for adherence to specifications Rigging Clean-up Driving May be required to assists other crafts as necessary to promote job progress.
