Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on refrigeration equipment such as reach‑in and walk‑in units, cooler display cases, ice machines, salad tables, frozen beverage and beer systems
Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
Handle R‑290 and other refrigerants, brazing and soldering
Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, torches and measuring equipment to service the unit
Operate a commercial vehicle safely and adhere to all company safety requirements
Effectively communicate with the customer, work independently under pressure and without close supervision
Work on‑call nights and weekends when assigned
Basic Qualifications
Must be EPA certified
2–3 years of refrigeration experience
Registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR)
Industry certifications such as CFESA, NATE and FACTORY are preferred
Minimum age 18 years
Successful completion of drug screen and criminal background screening
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Physical Requirements
Exert up to 150 pounds of force regularly and up to 50–75 pounds frequently without assistance
Climb and work from an 8‑foot ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist and grasp to perform essential job functions
Tolerate environmental conditions of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust and poor ventilation
