Job Opportunity in Sparks, MD Join our team in Sparks, MD, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment. We are seeking dedicated individuals to perform routine set up, operation, minor routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting of moderately complex/automated manufacturing equipment. This role involves controlling and adjusting machine settings, inspecting in-process parts to ensure consistent quality, and removing defective products, packaging, and component material. You will also check work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work within standards and operating procedures to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the setup and operations of a variety of production equipment, including automated machine processes and controls to perform routine assembly-line production functions of filling, packing, assembling, labeling, and inspecting.

Independently run multiple lines including setting up and managing changeovers.

Use independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem-solving under general supervision.

Perform clean-up functions in sterilized areas as needed.

Identify the need for minor equipment repairs.

Analyze and evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, testing, and inspecting procedures.

Assist with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions.

Monitor quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Ensure accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic issues associated with machine performance and/or product quality.

Demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Follow all Client housekeeping, safety policies, and procedures.

Be available to work overtime as required to meet Client business requirements.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school Diploma or GED equivalent.

1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience in a regulated environment required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department.

Strong attention to detail.

Punctuality to ensure production.

Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification.

Ability to operate independently within the constraints of approved process-related documentation.

Proficiency in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.

Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required.
