Summary
Huntington's Managing Director, Credit Trading will be a point of contact for institutional investors and trading counterparties and partner with credit sales and desk analysts to ensure seamless trade execution with a focus on building out Huntington’s secondary Term Loan B trading business in support of its leveraged finance strategy.
Responsibilities
Responsible for market making activities on all lead managed institutional Term Loan B transactions
Maintain strong relationships across Huntington’s institutional investor client base which includes Collateralized Loan Obligation managers, mutual funds, ETFs, credit opportunity/hedge funds as well as other commercial banks
Collaborate closely with the loan sales team to help manage the trading desk’s capital at risk, solidify distribution channels, source actionable market color and market trade ideas
Work closely with trading desk analyst team to monitor trading desk positions and develop trading ideas for investors
Execute buys/sells for Huntington’s commercial bank credit portfolio, including both performing and non-performing credits, with a focus on profitability and recoveries, as appropriate
Responsible for daily marketing of the trading book and working with market risk on a periodic basis as appropriate
Work closely with internal credit and risk partners to set and continually monitor trading limits on individual credits and in aggregate credit trading
Work closely with middle office and loan closers to maximize trade settlement efficiency
Assist in onboarding trading counterparties through the KYC process both initially and on an ongoing basis
Assist Leveraged Finance Syndicate in developing syndication strategies for primary transactions
Responsible for communicating ongoing market conditions to Leveraged Finance Syndicate, Syndicated & Leveraged Finance and senior management
Maintain strict adherence to Compliance obligations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field
10+ years’ experience in the securities industry with no identified regulatory issues
FINRA Series & and Series 63 licenses
Preferred Qualifications
FINRA Series 24
