Introduction to the team
Lodging Connectivity is building a competitive, flexible and intuitive set of capabilities and tools for all our Supply Connected Partners. Their goal is to allow partners to tailor the use of supply APIs or work in their software of choice to grow their businesses and provide trusted traveler experiences through our marketplace. The Supply Onboarding and Maintenance team powers supply partner experiences to list travel products, serving 100+ million requests per day. In this role, you will:
Conduct day‑to‑day work and solve complex issues in your own technical engineering area. Serve as a guide to others by sharing knowledge and helping junior associates. Extend collaboration beyond your direct organization and work with senior peers across the larger organization. Facilitate collaboration with different stakeholders and tie work to business outcomes. Research and recommend frameworks, architectural patterns, and design patterns. Advocate for operational excellence, including unit testing, SLAs, and programming for resiliency and scalability. Strive for optimal organizational efficiency by applying systems thinking and recommending policies and processes. Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in software development or a related technical field. Experience driving end‑to‑end technical design of multiple complex, multi‑quarter projects. Experience developing features in full‑stack technologies – Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or similar technologies, and API development. Experience collaborating with business partners to identify problems and deliver technical solutions that meet their needs. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with GraphQL, gRPC and ReactJS. Experience formally mentoring and developing other engineers. Experience justifying and communicating technology choices to both technical and non‑technical audiences. A strong understanding of testing and monitoring, with experience establishing operational excellence metrics at the team level.
