Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine invite applications for an accomplished neurologist to lead our Epilepsy Division as Division Chief in the Department of Neurology.

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the growing Epilepsy Division

Join a department of 37 full-time physicians, and 19 advanced practice providers

NAEC Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center with an ABRET accredited EEG Lab that provides the full gamut of epilepsy and EEG services

Oversee clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and staff.

Promote and support research initiatives in epilepsy, including clinical trials and translational research.

Collaborate with institutional leadership to expand epilepsy services and outreach.

Lead educational efforts for medical students, residents, fellows, and continuing medical education.

Position Requirements

MD, DO, or equivalent degree

BC/BE Neurology with the completion of an Epilepsy and/or Clinical Neurophysiology (epilepsy track) fellowship. BC/BE Epilepsy preferred.

Clinical expertise in epilepsy. Interest in developing a focus area, e.g. in the surgical epilepsy program, intra-operative monitoring, continuous EEG monitoring, or outpatient epilepsy is encouraged.

Experience with pharmacological and surgical management of epilepsy, video-EEG monitoring, intracranial monitoring and neurostimulation required.

Experience in education of fellows, residents, medical students and EEG technologists

Experience in clinical research

Academic credentials meriting appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or full Professor

Ability to acquire license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania

Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
