About the role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our relationship-focused firm and play a key role in delivering exceptional tax support to our clients, including individuals, small businesses, and trust and estate clients. Essential Duties In this role, you will:
Prepare and review individual, business, and trust income tax returns
Research and resolve tax‑related questions and issues
Assist with gathering and organizing client data for tax planning and compliance
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and changes to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
Support the team in delivering timely and thorough tax services across a variety of client types
Communicate directly with clients to collect documentation and explain tax matters
Represent clients in IRS and state correspondence matters, with support from senior team members
Work with tax software including QuickBooks, Lacerte, TPS, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
Help ensure internal procedures and documentation standards are followed
Education & Experience The ideal candidate will possess an intermediate level of experience, generally 3-5 years, with public accounting, bookkeeping or tax services, preferably with high‑net‑worth individuals or families.
Certificates & Licenses
Enrolled Agent (EA)
Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Preferred Skills
Experience preparing individual, business, and trust tax returns
Working knowledge of current tax regulations and best practices
Experience with trusts and estates is a strong plus
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Lacerte, TPS, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
Compensation $75,000-$115,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range.
