Job Description We are seeking an experienced
Data Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME)
with deep expertise in
Collibra
to support a strategic, multi-year data transformation initiative. This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with internal stakeholders and Collibra’s professional services team to ensure a successful implementation and operationalization of enterprise data governance.
Role and responsibilities Phase 1: Implementation Support (Year 1)
Act as SME and point of contact during the deployment of Collibra
Collaborate with Collibra Professional Services to:
Define and structure
data domains ,
catalogs ,
reference data , and
business glossaries
Design and implement
data lineage
and
metadata workflows
Assist in onboarding
data stewards
and business users
Ensure strategic alignment between Collibra implementation and internal data governance objectives
Phase 2 & 3: Data Governance Rollout (Years 2–3)
Define and enforce governance roles and responsibilities (e.g., data owner, data steward)
Implement and monitor
data quality frameworks , including rule definition and KPI tracking
Support issue resolution workflows, policy enforcement, and cross-functional governance coordination
Work directly with key stakeholders, including business and IT leaders, to drive adoption and maturity
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields. Banking experience preferred but not mandatory.
3–5 years
of hands‑on experience implementing and managing
Collibra
is mandatory
Proven experience with:
Data quality rules, metrics, and monitoring
Metadata and reference data management
Data lineage and workflow automation
Strong communication skills with the ability to be clear, concise, and action‑oriented
Curious, adaptable, and capable of aligning data governance needs with business priorities
Comfortable working in
small, flexible organizations
with cross‑functional teams
Self‑driven, organized, and pragmatic
Ability to take ownership and work autonomously, with 10% of responsibilities related to project coordination

The salary range for this role is US$100,000 - US$160,000
