Warehouse Associate
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Associate for a company based in Beltsville, MD. In this role, you will assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensure the warehouse operates smoothly, and contribute to maintaining our high standards of safety and efficiency.
Pay Rate
$16-$18 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Mon-Sun (Rotating Schedule)
Warehouse Associate
Duties and Responsibilities Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing. Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped. Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for both employee and customer traffic. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner. Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed. Handle check calls from drivers, ensuring timely deliveries and validating load data for accounting purposes. Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, verifying that loads arrive on time and in good condition. Qualificatio
ns
Basic written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends due to varying freight volumes. Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry is preferred. Experience loading and unloading trailers. Experience using handheld scanners. Ability to apply critical thinking to follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form. Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds.
