About This Role The Jenni Kayne Associate Buyer & Planner will support all Jenni Kayne categories including Home with a focus on Apparel , Shoes, and Accessories while reporting to the Director of Buy ing and Planning . Th is role is part of a small team with the opportunity to interact closely with all team members both within Buying as well as cross- functionally . ,your primary responsibilitiesinclude the following: Ensure the Jenni Kayne retail buying administrative processes are exceptionally executed, withaccuratedata entered in software systems and buy related information effectively communicated to store teams as well as relevant corporate parties Accurately enter all third-party purchasing activities inNetsuiteas needed; ensure data for all inputs is meticulously managed and is thoughtfully entered tofacilitateclear reporting for business analysis.Required data entry and execution of financial accountability processes include: Purchase order entry at the style, color, size level for PO uploads New itemset up, existing item maintenance as needed Managethird partypurchaseorderinvoicingandpaymentas well as partnering with the receiving team to prepare for inboundshipments Management of discrepancies on invoices and/or POs including communication with vendor at time order is placed or before order arrives for receiving inventory Drive initial allocation process including store and size breakdowns for all third-party purchases order for retail and e-com orders Partner with buying team to create, update and distribute quarterly product receipt deck to communicate all new goods, order quantities, and key dates to store, marketing, and warehouse teams Partner with buying team to create andmaintainseasonal buy plan files to manage seasonal new and reorder assortment Manage sample coordinationprocessincluding communication with production and marketing teams to prepare JK and 3 rd party samples of all seasonal styles for marketing and product shoot. Request samples by required deadlines, organize and store samples as needed, and return to third party vendors on time. Createbuycalendar Outlook events including allappropriate partiesprior to each season based off deadlines oncompanycalendar. Participate in analyzing sales and inventory levels in season on a weekly basis at department/category/style/item level and drive actions to maximize sales. Participate in preparation of monthly fast-sellmeetingwith business insights,highlightsand actionable items.Assistwith presenting seasonal sales, sell-thru, OH and suggest marketing initiatives. Review marketing calendar at item level and consider if re-allocation is needed. Develop strong relationships with marketing, e-commerce,storeand warehouse teams: effectively communicate and understand each team’s processes and needs and help toestablishefficient processes related to inventory management aimed at maximizing sales and gross margin performance. Track freight payments and request quotes prior to shipment for international vendors or large orders to ensure competitive pricing is received. Assistwith executing price changes inNetsuiteto adjust pricing at style level; communicatetostores, Ecom, and warehouse teams to ensurechangedin all areas Work with buying, warehouse, financeteamsand stores/Ecom to support the execution of strategy initiatives including sample sale and promo Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 2-3 years retailbuying and/or planningexperience Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and experience withNetsuiteis a plus Knowledge of basic retail math formulas and calculations Ability tomulti task, meet deadlines and ensureaccuratecompletion of assigned tasks Highly organized and detail oriented Motivated and experienced working with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical requirements Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.)
