Pratt & Whitney invites you to join a team that transforms the future of flight. This role is for a weekend night shift (Friday 6:00pm – Monday 6:30am). Shift premium is included in compensation.
What You Will Do
Support leadership of two departments within the shift for 30+ hourly employees.
Provide direction to employees; lead engagement, continuous improvement, and daily supervisory responsibilities.
Manage project execution, communicate effectively, and execute with support group members.
Set work schedules and monthly delivery plans aligned with customer needs and financial goals.
Lead team buildingthrough toolbox meetings, communication, and responsive production teams.
Achieve target performance levels through the Standard Production System (SPS); use tiered accountability, visual management, leader standard work.
Drive problem‑solving culture, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Champion safety, quality, production, procurement, and cost reduction.
Ensure smooth process flow, maintain key working relationships, and comply with EH&S requirements.
Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements and maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
2+ years of leadership experience in operations or manufacturing.
U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of manufacturing/operations experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
Clear, concise, effective communicator.
Experience working with all levels of management.
Highly self‑directed, quick learner, strong drive for results.
Experience with continuous improvement principles (lean, ACE/CORE, QCPC, etc.).
Track record in team leadership roles.
Planning, project management, and influencing business objectives.
Proficiency in Excel a plus.
