Vice President – Regulatory Reporting

About the Position In response to the US business growth and transformation projects, ING Americas is looking to increase the knowledge and experience in the regulatory reporting function. In this role you will be the driving force behind the firm’s high quality regulatory filings.
Using your analytical mindset, independent thinking and rigor towards accurate and timely reporting, you will strategically contribute to high-quality reports that exist today for ING’s broker dealer and swap dealer. Additionally, a large part of your role will be focusing on design, implementation and automation of regulatory reports required by the Federal Reserve and New York Department of Financial Services as a foreign bank branch.
This role will require you to collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders (e.g. business lines, operations and risk management) as well as external stakeholders including regulators. As you will also be involved in ING’s global initiatives, you will have the opportunity to build a global network that can also support your activities in the ING Americas. This position also allows room for growth within the team.
About the Department This position is part of the Regulatory Reporting Group within the Finance function of ING Americas. This team is responsible for all regulatory filings.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely regulatory filings for various regulators in close collaboration with colleagues across Business, Risk, Operations, and Finance
Contribute to the design, implementation and automation of the regulatory reporting processes for a foreign bank branch in the U.S.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for regulators and professional associations, responding promptly to inquiries and maintaining strong relationships
Proactively update senior management on developments impacting regulatory filings, including changes in regulatory capital
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness
Respond swiftly and effectively to ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
Experience with Federal Reserve bank reporting
Familiarity with broker‑dealer reporting and/or swap dealer reporting is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus
7+ years of relevant experience with US regulatory/SEC reporting for financial institutions in Finance, internal or external auditing or related functions
CPA certification preferred
Demonstrated accountability and ability to deliver high-quality outcomes
Positive, proactive mindset with strong analytical and independent thinking skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear, concise, and accurate communication skills—both written and verbal
Salary Salary Range: $166,000 – $212,000
