Resilience Water National Practice Lead – Funding and Implementation Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, is seeking a Capital Project and Infrastructure Funding and Implementation – National Practice Leader to join the Resilience Water Business Area in the United States. This full‑time hybrid position reports to the Resilience Water Management Practice Director and can be based in any U.S. office where Arcadis operates.

As National Practice Leader, you will collaborate with the Practice Director and leaders across all Arcadis divisions to develop innovative strategies, partnerships, and value propositions that advance capital projects, infrastructure, and resilience initiatives nationwide. You will diagnose client funding, finance, and implementation blockers; examine emerging trends; evaluate partners and competitors; provide technical support to practice leaders; and mentor team members. You will explore emerging funding models such as blended finance, outcome‑based contracts, and incentives, while driving traditional approaches like grants and bonds.

Accountabilities Partner with cross‑functional teams to develop successful proposals, integrate funding and implementation mechanisms with technical solutions, and support strategies that advance capital projects, infrastructure programs, and resilience initiatives for clients and partners. Serve as a trusted advisor, thought leader, and mentor.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and resolve obstacles to project advancement, including funding gaps, permitting challenges, and partnership issues.

Build technical expertise in traditional and emerging mechanisms to accelerate critical client projects and community improvements.

Serve as Pursuit Lead for major and strategic initiatives, including those reviewed by the Pursuit Committee.

Lead thought‑leadership efforts in collaboration with Communities of Practice, practitioners, the Practice Director, and the Growth team, representing Arcadis at national forums.

Provide mentoring, technical support, and recruitment support to strengthen team capabilities and maintain national practice excellence.

This role includes oversight of quality control, escalation of issues to senior leadership, and approximately 40% in‑person client engagement.

Key Skills and Attributes Comprehensive knowledge of funding pursuits, program development, and grants‑management methodologies. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate strategic value to client executives. Proven ability to implement innovative funding and implementation initiatives that drive client success. Leadership ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

10+ years of experience leading funding and implementation‑related efforts, such as grants, revenue, finance, or supporting policy and initiative implementation.

3+ years of experience advancing innovative or experimental funding, financing, and implementation means to drive project progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, AICP, CP3P, Six Sigma/Lean, PgMP, GPC, CMA).

Demonstrated knowledge of alternative forms of delivery and procurement that support project implementation.

Capital stack fluency: ability to compare and defend selection of grants, bonds, incentives, blended finance, P3s, etc.

Salary range: $113,933 – $222,739 (actual salary varies by experience, education, budget, project, and location).
