Restaurant General Manager – Church’s Texas Chicken

The Church’s Restaurant General Manager is passionate about providing friendly, quick, and accurate service in a clean, safe environment and is accountable for all business activities at one restaurant location.
Job Summary The Church’s Restaurant General Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals, controlling expenses, and creating an environment where team members are engaged and encouraged to grow while delivering exceptional service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Creates an in‑store service environment that exceeds guest expectations.
Communicates and follows up with guests to obtain feedback and identify service and food quality improvement opportunities.
Assists and resolves all guest complaints in‑person or by phone, applying the “listen, apologize, satisfy, and thank” model.
Ensures all incoming calls are handled promptly and professionally.
Directs and conducts regular training with team members.
Provides regular feedback to team members and identifies areas for improvement.
Works with direct reports to cross‑train and develop new skills.
Creates a workplace where team members strive to perform at their best, are rewarded for performance, and have fun.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Maintains a clean and safe restaurant for guests and team members.
Manages budgets and makes adjustments as needed.
Ensures compliance with labor laws.
Enforces and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Maintains restaurant inventory and ensures accessibility and organization.
Responsible for routine maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
Prepares and analyzes operation reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience)
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
Successfully complete all required training and pass applicable tests.
Qualifications / Functional Skills
Valid driver’s license and proof of valid insurance.
Ability to work a minimum of 50‑55 hours per week, including flexible shifts and weekends.
Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices, and operating and HR procedures.
Understanding of labor cost reporting, operating statements, and other business‑related reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of profit and loss statements.
Ability to implement policies and procedures.
Skilled in developing employees through coaching, counseling, and building strong work habits.
Committed to continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.
Experienced in recruiting and interviewing potential team members.
Ability to supervise others and manage conflict resolution.
Capacity to create and maintain a positive work environment.
