PERM/FTE Must Haves
Electrical experience – specifically with rectifiers. Experience fixing or working on chemical plating equipment. Strong understanding of chemicals in the environment: ability to drain tubs, clean tubs, calculate dosages. Past experience leading plating line operators. High school diploma or GED required. Prior plating and chemical processing experience. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and technical drawings. Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues. Comfortable working around chemicals, hot liquids, and industrial equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor plating line equipment, tanks, and chemical baths. Load, secure, and unload parts onto racks, fixtures, or barrels for plating. Follow established process instructions, work orders, and job travelers. Monitor solution levels, temperatures, and current/voltage during plating operations. Perform basic chemical testing and report results to supervisors or lab technicians. Inspect plated parts for quality, thickness, adhesion, and surface finish. Document production data, including bath usage, run times, and part counts. Maintain a clean and organized plating area, following 5S and lean principles. Assist in routine preventive maintenance of equipment and tanks. Adhere to safety, environmental, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Seniority Level
