Accounting & Compliance - Corporate Accounting Manager
Amsoil is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Team in ensuring accurate general accounting and financial reporting for global and domestic entities. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, financial consolidation, tax strategy, and safeguarding company assets through robust policies and procedures. The manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, close the books, coordinate internal and external audits, tax compliance, CAPEX, and financial statement reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting team through monthly close activities, year‑end responsibilities, and budgeting/forecasting tasks.
- Collect, consolidate, and reconcile financial data from subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and GAAP‑compliant consolidated statements.
- Supervise journal entry recording and manage month‑end closing across multiple accounts.
- Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, provide timely reporting to management, and collaborate with external auditors.
- Support tax compliance across domestic and international jurisdictions, including sales and use tax, VAT, corporate income tax, payroll, and R&D tax credit.
- Drive internal audit management, develop audit procedures, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain CAPEX policies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting fixed‑asset accounting.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, acting as gatekeeper for budget data.
- Assist HR with employment tax inquiries, support unclaimed property tax filings, and provide financial analysis for business cases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years in corporate finance and accounting within manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong ERP and system skills.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical, Excel, and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with global business environments and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Strong communication, presentation, and time‑management abilities.
