POSITIONSUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of theOffice Manager is to provide support throughout all aspects of the Office ofStudent and Academic Services (SAS). This includes managing areas including Academic Advisement and Registration,Career Services, Alumni Services, Graduate Admissions and Registration, andTechnology Development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains positive office environmentby being first point of contact for students and guests to the office anddirecting them to appropriate resource
Act as main contact person for fieldclearances, and manage the process of recording, verifying and processingclearances for all SOE students (undergraduate and graduate)
Serve as the main contact person forPDE TIMS applications, PDE certifications, and requests for out-of-statecertifications, including providing information to the OSTFP to share withstudent teachers and processing applications in PDE TIMS. Also preparing letters and forms forsignatures including status letters and completed certification requirements asneeded from faculty, Dean, ADTE, Registrar.
Maintain highly confidential recordssuch as undergraduate student files
Communicate via phone and emailservices offered by SAS, School of Education and Duquesne University
Organize office layout and orderoffice supplies when necessary
Assist in development and distributionof freshman information packets, create new student files, prepares FreshmenAdvisement Information Session (F.A.S.T.) documents, and assists with Orientation and School of Education events
Supports Student Success Coaches indaily tasks and Banner/JED updates or provides office assistance for StudentSuccess Coaches and Banner/JED updates
Act as the main person to send massemail communications to groups of SOE students
Design filing and recording systems.
Completesother duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:

Stronganalytical, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
Excellentoral and written communication skills
Ability toestablish and maintain effective working relationships with the UniversityCommunity.
