Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a motivated Office Assistant to provide administrative support to the Education division. This position will assist with a variety of clerical and office coordination tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of educational programs and activities.
Responsibilities
Maintaining and organizing physical and electronic files
Performing data entry and database updates
Greeting and assisting faculty, staff, and learners
Drafting, formatting, and mailing correspondence
Assisting with planning and coordination of meetings
Supporting general office functions and other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills; professional, helpful, and friendly demeanor
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and procedures
Experience in a reception or front-desk environment
Office experience including filing, data entry, and use of Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiarity with Zoom and Smartsheet
Experience with database systems and managing large data sets
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication abilities
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment
