Job Summary The Nocturn Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care, supporting both direct admissions and consultative services across surgical and specialty teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
Location:
Central Florida
Schedule:
Monday–Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Primary Responsibilities
Provide assessment, evaluation, and management of patients within the acute care setting.
Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage patient conditions, including daily evaluations and treatment planning.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting.
Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled substances.
Collaborate with consulting physicians and refer patients to appropriate specialists or tertiary facilities when indicated.
Promote efficient resource utilization and adherence to clinical pathways.
Ensure timely communication and continuity of care between multidisciplinary teams.
Education, Training & Experience
Doctorate degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active Florida medical license in good standing
DEA license active or eligible
