LPN or MA – Dermatology – South Lyon, MI (Part‑Time)
Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Department is seeking a part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work in South Lyon, Michigan.
Hours: Thursday 8 AM–4 PM; Friday 8 AM–2 PM.
Licensure: Qualified LPNs must have active licensure in both Michigan and Ohio. Qualified Medical Assistants must possess an active RMA/CMA/CCMA credential or be able to obtain it within 60 days of employment. Travel to other Ohio office locations is required as needed.
Sign‑On Bonus: Medical Assistants will receive a $2,000 sign‑on bonus upon hire, payable within 30 days of hire once credentials are verified. Eligible Medical Assistants may receive an additional $2,000 retention bonus after one year of service.
Training: Six weeks of training will be provided at the Adrian, Michigan office (Mon–Wed 8 AM–4 PM) and in South Lyon (Thu–Fri). After training, duties will be confined to South Lyon shifts.
Responsibilities
Assist providers with patient care, including minor procedures and surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.
Escort patients to exam rooms.
Prepare exam rooms and gather patient histories, vitals, and other necessary information.
Sterilize and prepare instruments.
Administer injections as directed.
Call in prescription refills at the provider's request.
Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
Follow up on lab work and/x‑rays.
Perform clerical duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient charts.
Travel between practice offices to cover staffing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Reliable attendance, professional attire, and punctuality.
Proactive initiative when primary tasks are completed, assisting coworkers as needed.
Adaptability to expanded roles.
Commitment to Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
Licensed Nursing Degree with current state licensure (Michigan and Ohio).
First‑Assist certification preferred.
Medical Assistant diploma with credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA).
