Overview We are seeking a Senior CAD Technician – Bridges & Civil Structures to join our team in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

Works as a CAD lead in the Structures Group, managing the CAD staff and directing tasks and efforts.

Uses CAD systems including MicroStation and Open Bridge Designer.

Enters required data—precise measurements and commands—to generate construction drawings, renderings, report graphics, interior drawings or other digital images.

Develops, organizes and prepares complex layouts, drawings and designs from written or verbal specifications or from sketches and drawings by technical professionals, converting paper documents into computerized files.

Creates and maintains standards and symbols to meet project needs or improve CAD utilization, writing and distributing procedures to other CAD users inside and outside the department.

Produces various design options on screen or hard copy based on verbal instructions or ideas to assist in resolving undefined design concepts.

Redesigns, modifies or edits existing designs using CAD.

Performs necessary mathematical calculations to complete design tasks.

Checks final drawings on screen to verify completeness, clarity, and accuracy.

Troubleshoots CAD production technologies, including hardware and software, and provides intermediate training to technical personnel interested in CAD skills.

Performs other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.

About You

10+ years' experience as a bridge detailer (progressive drafting and design experience).

Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD required.

Experience with MicroStation, 3D Open Bridge, Civil 3D, BIM, and/or Revit is a plus.

Solid oral and written communication skills.

Expected compensation range $71,000 – $105,000+ annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
