We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Test Engineer to lead the design, development, and support of test systems for our advanced aerospace products. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to create hardware and software solutions that validate product performance and ensure compliance with certification standards. The ideal candidate will also provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of test engineering practices.

Base pay range $77,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead engineer on projects involving the design and implementation of hardware and software test systems for avionics products.

Develop and maintain post‑certification support strategies for deployed test systems.

Prepare and manage comprehensive documentation for test system design, modifications, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with product development teams to ensure test systems align with product requirements and certification standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test system performance and reliability.

Mentor and guide less experienced test engineering staff, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes throughout the test system lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in avionics or aerospace test engineering.

Strong background in hardware/software integration and automated test systems.

Familiarity with aerospace certification processes and standards (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 717, DO‑160, DO‑178).

Proficiency in test development tools and programming languages (e.g., ATEasy, LabVIEW, Python, C/C++).

Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Must be a US Person (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Preferred Skills

Experience with RF, digital, and analog test systems.

Knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
