Head of Engineering - Intelligent Automation
As the Head of Engineering - Intelligent Automation, you will lead the development and implementation of our enterprise initiatives which include digital assistants, automation solutions, and intelligent self‑service technologies. Your role is pivotal in understanding the impact of technology in optimizing Guardian’s business portfolio.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to develop and integrate automation solutions that drive business growth, improve customer experiences, and reduce operational costs.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive automation and AI strategy, aligning with business objectives and emerging technology trends.
Solution Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation, digital assistants, focusing on automation and natural‑language driven self‑service solutions.
Automation Integration: Oversee attended & unattended bots, process automation, streamline workflows, improve performance and reduce average handling time.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with engineering, product management, customer experience and IT teams to integrate solutions into existing platforms and contact center operations.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all initiatives comply with data protection standards, regulatory frameworks and enterprise security requirements.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Define KPIs and success metrics for initiatives, ensuring continuous monitoring, optimization and business impact evaluation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, management or a related field.
Proven experience in automation and AI, and solution engineering, preferably in customer engagement and digital assistants.
Strong expertise in conversational technology and automation of processes.
Experience in deploying enterprise‑grade solutions and automation solutions at scale.
Ability to understand, analyze, and measure the impact of technology on customer self‑service and operational efficiency.
Strong problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive innovation in new technology space.
Willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience working with remote teams in a matrixed environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge the gap between business and technology.

Up to 10% travel within US
Salary Range $148,940.00 - $244,685.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
