Overview

Our Electrical team in Seattle, WA focuses on delivering advanced electrical engineering solutions—from load analysis and power generation & distribution to lighting, fire alarms, security, access control, and green building design. We partner with clients to develop solutions that improve building functionality and performance across voltage ranges from 120 V to 765 kV, including plant and substation design, substation upgrades, relay and protection upgrades, power system studies, renewable integration, distribution upgrades, and water/wastewater system designs.
Responsibilities
Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
Prepare concept layout plans.
Perform advanced grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
Prepare project exhibits.
Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or certification from a technical school required.
Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field required.
8–10+ years of experience required.
Electrical Designer with a passion for power, lighting and fire alarm design.
Proficient skills working in REVIT, CAD and AGI Lighting Software.
Ability to research code provisions, products, material information.
Ability to coordinate information exchange between clients, project manager, and project team.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation Compensation: $78,500 to $104,400 per year (depending on qualifications).
